AQUAPARK DI ZAMBRONE, CALBRIA, ITALY

Collaborating with Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo, we created a landscape strategy to incorporate the existing Aquapark into a newly planned 5 star all-inclusive resort environment with a new Marriott hotel, banqueting halls and health spa as its centrepiece.

Set spectacularly on a Calabrian hillside the resort has been orientated to provide views from the lobby, hillside bungalows and apartments of the aquapark, resort landscape and Mediterranean.

The landscape provides for a range of guest facilities including lagoon pools, kids play area and evening entertainment played out in a new amphitheatre - dining experience. Alternatively guests may choose to dine at the beach side fish restaurant located with a small retail village with its very own private beach.

The landscape design also sensitively addresses the need to close the aquapark at night without the need for visually intrusive fencing.
