GRECOTEL CAPE SOUNIO, SOUNIO BAY, GREECE
This unique resort sits on the edge of Sounio National Park, in the peaceful setting of one of the world’s most celebrated archaeological sites.
We used a simple palette of natural stone and local timber to enhance the beauty of the setting while preserving the historic fabric of the site, and based our design on the bipolar geometry of the hotel lobby and the views to the Temple of Poseidon. At the centre of the landscape, surrounded on two sides by amphitheatric steps, lies an elegant yet discreet mirror pool.
